Day 45: God is Faithful

Scripture: Exodus 18:10 KJV – “And Jethro said, Blessed be the LORD, who hath delivered you out of the hand of the Egyptians, and out of the hand of Pharaoh, who hath delivered the people from under the hand of the Egyptians.”

The people of Israel had experienced difficulties.  After hearing Moses speak of all the Lord had done to Pharaoh and the Egyptians for Israel’s sake, and how the Lord had delivered them on their journey, this verse was his father-in-law’s response.  We know from continuing to read more of this story, God’s faithfulness continued.

Many times, in life, we may feel like the people of Israel. It can make us question, why me or even cause us to experience self-pity. I have experienced times when I felt even God didn’t care for me. I know better. It reminds me of a song the choir sings.  (Partial lyrics for ‘He’s Always Been Faithful”.)

This is my anthem, this is my song
The theme of the stories I’ve heard for so long
God has been faithful, He will be again
His loving compassion, it knows no end
All I have need of, His hand will provide
He’s always
He’s always been faithful
He’s always been faithful to me.

If you are experiencing difficulties and feel alone and like no one cares, ALWAYS remember God’s love, mercy, and compassion.  He doesn’t work on our time schedule, but He is ALWAYS faithful.
