Day 42: God is with Us

Scripture (Philippians 4:13): I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Before becoming a Christian, I was very much like so many others, believing I could always come up with the right answers. I found out that I could not. I noticed that some people (one coworker in particular, Joe) lived life a little differently, seemed much more at ease, and took things in stride. Scripture (Proverbs 13:20): He that walketh with wise men shall be wise, but a companion of fools shall be destroyed).  I soon realized Joe had something in his life that I did not, a relationship with Jesus! I too wanted the kind of happiness and peace that I saw in him. After many discussions with Joe, I realized I needed Jesus in my life. After entering the church and studying God’s word, I accepted Christ Jesus as my Lord and Savior. I now know that one needs Jesus in his or her heart to be able to make that change to turn your life around.                                             

Sometimes life may not go as smoothly as one would like, and often unexpected things come up that would require one to make a change in the direction one had originally planned. It is how we accept a change that matters most. We must remember that God is always with us, and we are never alone. The one thing I ask myself is “What would Jesus do?” Jesus would pray to his father often. Now, so do I!  Scripture (Proverbs 3: 5-6): Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him and he shall direct thy paths.
