Day 40: Yearly Word, Resolutions or Goals – already derailed.

Scripture (Romans 7:15,19) “I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do, I do not do. But what I hate, I do. . . . For I do not do the good I want to do. Instead, I keep on doing the evil I do not want to do” (Romans 7:15, 19).

How many of you like me, pray about your annual word and goals? How many of you are already off track? This year my word is “order”. I made some specific goals for much-needed organization and restored order considering the many changes in our lives and home over the last year. Satan really wants to keep us in chaos as much as possible, so the attacks are constant: Illness, lack of sleep, lack of time, no motivation, poor self-discipline, and forgetting to pray about it. The list goes on and on. So, what happens next, do we give up?

NO. Absolutely not. We ask God for His help and repent when necessary. We serve a God who loves us very much. He wants to hear from us and help us. If we ask, He will empower us and be merciful. Our successes are victories for Him when we give our testimonies.

Thank you, God for loving us, that your mercies are new every morning, and for your faithfulness. (Lamentations 3:22-23)
