Day 33: "Friendship"

Scripture: (Proverbs 18:24) “A man that hath friends must show himself friendly and there is a friend that sticks closer than a brother.”

In one of my recent journeys, which God has so graciously placed me on, I gained a very precious friend.  I believe that God placed us together to build each other up in faith, love, and joy.  He gave us many opportunities to bear each other’s burdens.  Galatians 6:2 states “Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ,” we need to help each other carry burdens.

Satan is always at work trying to tear down and destroy things that are uplifting.  If we apply the fruits of the spirit of love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and self-control listed in Galatians 5:22 our friendship will be God-honoring for many years to come. 

Let us be faithful in prayer to be good friends.
