Day 15: Transitions and Seasons of Life

Scriptures:   Ecclesiastes 3:1-8, Romans 8:28, 1 Timothy 4:12-16, Romans 3:23-24, 1 Peter 5:7

Author:   Cindy Stafford

Transitions can be hard. Something must end before something new can begin, and sometimes we have control over those things and sometimes we do not. Ecclesiastes 3:1-8, is a poetic passage about opposite seasons. We all have experienced similar seasons of life to various degrees, such as birth, death, love, grief, loss, joy, unexpected changes, adult children spreading their wings and leaving the nest, navigating life as we age, or even starting a new career later in life. As a believer in Christ, I am so thankful to be able to place my trust in the Lord in all things and to be able to have peace within my soul through all of life's seasons and transitions. There is no wonder why people feel hopeless during difficult times if they do not know the Lord as their Savior. "And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose" Romans 8:28 (NKJV).  As believers, we are called to spread the Gospel and point others to Christ so that they too will have hope and everlasting life. 1 Tim. 4:12-16 tells us to be an example and not neglect the gift that is within us, "for in doing this you will save both yourself and those who hear you" (vs. 16).

If you do not know the Lord as your personal Savior and desire to have HOPE, then you can have this wonderful gift right now by placing your trust in Him. Romans 3:23-24 (NKJV) says, "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (vs. 23), being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus" (vs. 24). The wonderful thing that hope brings is peace and that peace is what will get you through all of life's transitions and seasons.

I want to encourage you that if you are having trouble or if you are going through a transition, "to cast all of your care upon Him, for He cares for you" 1 Peter 5:7 (NKJV).
