Scripture: (Romans 1:20): For the invisible things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse.
Author: Ivan Paynter
This verse is comforting for a believer and condemning for the lost. We can all relate to the outdoors, to see the warm sun to melt away snow, to hear the birds sing, watch the sunset, see the beauty of a forest from a mountain top, or even feeling a cold wind. According to doctors, getting outdoors improves your attention, lowers stress, reduces anxiety and depression.
Next time you're outside on purpose, look around and let yourself enjoy your surroundings. God has made it easy for us to know we have a “maker” and take a moment to thank him. Before we pray let's read that verse once more:
“For the invisible things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse.”
Father, thank you for your creation. Thank you for its beauty and variety. Thank you for the changing seasons but most of all, thank you for choosing to show yourself to us so we are without excuse, in Jesus name, Amen.
